MY JOURNEY

Pilates came into my life while I was studying contemporary dance at university.

At the time, it was simply a twice-weekly class that my fellow dancers and I didn’t take very seriously. We stretched, laughed at the exercise names, and carried on. But something about the studio environment — the Reformers, Wunda Chairs, and Cadillacs — quietly fascinated me, and I found myself continually drawn back to the method.

After moving to London, I returned to Pilates regularly. Following years of desk jobs, my body craved the movement, discipline, and connection that the practice offered.

In 2010, I completed my mat teacher training with Body Control Pilates and went on to build my own teaching practice across South West London. In 2018, I completed studio equipment training at the Lisa Bradshaw Academy before moving to Hove to work more fully within a studio environment.

I have since undertaken comprehensive training with BASI Pilates, an experience that deepened my understanding of Pilates as a complete and integrated system.

After more than 16 years of teaching, I continue to learn, evolve, and deepen my own practice. The more I explore Pilates, the more I understand that what I offer as a teacher goes far beyond the exercises themselves.
